0342. Clara M. Meader (1865 – 1948)

Clara M. Meader, daughter of Daniel B. Meader (1804-1870) [0202] and Louise Minkler (1828-1888), was born in 1865, probably in Plattsburgh, NY, and died in 1948. She married William Hayes, born in 1863 and died in 1946, a farmer on Route 1, Plattsburgh.

The children of Clara Meader and William Hayes were:
i. Roy D. Hayes, born in 1890 and died in 1960, a farmer in Plattsburgh. He married Mary Havens, a granddaughter of Matthew Meader [0338], his mother's brother.
ii. Lu Hayes, born in 1892, She married Benjamin Wilson, born in 1888 and died before 1966. He was a fruit grower in North Rose, NY.
iii. Kenneth Hayes, born in 1907. He married Helen McMaster, a registered nurse. He retired from his position as Corrections Officer at the State Hospital [ed: the source. May mean State Prison] after 34 years' service. They had no children.
